It’s often difficult to separate or extract SCN cysts directly from field soils because the cysts look similar to soil particles and debris. The solution is to decant and seive out the particles. Then grind the sieved products and collect the eggs using 120 mesh nested over 500 mesh sieves. The eggs are then counted after staining with acid fuschin.
